It\u2019s available in both Mac and PC versions with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Project, Publisher and Visio.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2902\" src=\"http:\/\/kinetics.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/OneNote-image-2018-300x143.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"143\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, OneNote is no longer going to be part of Office \u2013 the desktop version is being axed in favour of the \u2018app\u2019 version \u2013 thankfully this has been improved substantially.<\/p>\n<p>[header2 text=&#8221;<strong>So, what\u2019s in Office 2019?<\/strong>&#8221; align=&#8221;left&#8221; color=&#8221;#336A40&#8243; margintop=&#8221;&#8221;] Unfortunately, the cloud-powered features like dictate and designer aren\u2019t there \u2013 they use the Microsoft cloud to operate. But you do get text-to-speech, better inking features, and better tools for disability users.<br \/>\nThere are new Excel functions and new PowerBI abilities. PowerPoint gets excellent \u2018morph\u2019 transition and better ink features. There\u2019s a better zoom for moving slides within presentations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2901 \" src=\"http:\/\/kinetics.co.nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/FocusedInbox.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"356\" height=\"76\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Outlook gets the \u2018@mention\u2019 ability to include recipients from the message body text, and \u2018focussed inbox\u2019 to help you conquer email influxes.<\/p>\n<p>So there are lots of incremental changes, but nothing earthshattering. The \u2018premier\u2019 Office edition now seems to be the 365 version available through subscription which does have some really useful features.\u00a0 Older versions like 2010 are starting to feel dated and limited.\u00a0 <\/span>We suspect that, despite being a standalone version, the Office 2019 will be better than older editions of Office, at connecting to various future cloud services, including non-Microsoft ones.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, that\u2019s right, there\u2019s a new version of Office.
