The threat landscape moves too quickly. That’s why we now use ‘End Point Detection and Response’ technology (EDR). Full EDR adds to AV with advanced threat detection. It uses “Behavioural Analytics “ to go beyond known signature libraries which are based on past activities and combines it with AI/Machine Learning to look holistically at patterns to detect live activity threats.

Server backups are stepping up. Likewise, recovering files from a server (if you still have one) isn’t good enough either. Most files are now in the cloud. If you still have a server. it is more likely to be running processes and we need to know it will restart with all the software and process running.

What is Shadow IT? Shadow IT refers to the various online tools that might be being used casually in your organisation. The first step to working out how to manage and secure these is to now what’s being used.

24/7. The most obvious change is that we now need to be connected 24/7. Even when we’re resting, our content is online in the cloud and the hackers are able to attack. Our ‘Security Plus’ option adds 24/7 vigilance to monitoring your 365 and your end-points.

For more details please refer to the services summary.

Do I have to change?

The bad news is that all of this costs more than the current solution. There are more tools in use and they are more expensive, so we don’t want to force them on anyone as a surprise.

We’ve adopted a ‘grandfathering’ strategy.

We are no longer offering our old plans to new clients. New clients only have the option of choosing one of our new plans.

Our loyal and established clients can switch over at any time that suits them over the next couple of years, although we’d encourage that to be sooner rather than later. Hackers aren’t waiting… or slowing down their innovation.

What’s next?

We guarrantee this isn’t the end. The steps that seem excessive today will seem inadequate next year. We will continue to update and refresh our support plans to keep them relevant to your needs.

Reminder

Finally, we have to remind our clients that no one can promise that you won’t be hacked successfuly.

Hackers are attacking everyone all of the time, and they only need to get lucky once.

What we will do is help you take ‘all reasonable steps’ by adding more layers of protection.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

The world has changed… Since we designed our original ‘base’ KARE plans, the world has gone more mobile, more in the cloud and ‘work-from-anywhere’ is ubiquitous.
